CCW Training

"CCW" stands for "Carrying a Concealed Weapon". This course will help you obtain your Ohio license to carry a concealed handgun pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 2923.125. 

Training & Education Requirements

Total time required for training is 8 hours...

6 Hours: Ohio Revised Code requires 6 hours of certified training in the following matters:
  • The ability to name, explain and demonstrate the rule for safe handling of a handgun and proper storage practices for handguns and ammunition
  • The ability to demonstrate and explain how to handle ammunition in a safe manner
  • The ability to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary to shoot a handgun in a safe manner
  • Gun-handling training

2 Hours: Additionally, you must have 2 hours of practical training, including range time and live-fire experience. The applicant also must complete an examination that tests his/her competency. The test include a written section and a physical demonstration of competency on handgun usage, rules for safe handling and storage of a handgun.

Class Schedule

All classes must be paid in full at the time of registration. The registration fee for all classes is nonrefundable. If you wish to switch to an alternate class, you must contact Trigger Action, LLC at least one week prior to the date of the classes for which you registered, and we will try to accommodate your request when possible. We reserve the right, at any time, to cancel and an under-subscribed program. In the case of any such cancellation, we will refund the cost of class or offer you the option of rescheduling. Because of age and other restrictions, not all persons will be eligible to participate in this program. Trigger Action, LLC reserves the right to change the program, and for safety or other reasons, exclude or dismiss any person from the program at any time.
The cost for this course is $85.00 includes NRA course material and use of firearm and ammunition.  Do not bring a firearm or ammunition to the class or range. You may bring your own eye and ear protection for the range or you can use ours.
Safety Concerns: For the safety of all students attending the class, please NO open-toed shoes as well as NO low cut shirts, like tank tops. Athletic style clothing and footwear is recommended.
