Course Details:

Must have current CCW License or a CCW course completion certificate dated within 3 years of taking Defensive Shooting course. 

The Defensive Shooting course is an intuitive shooting program designed to help the student be more efficient with a defensive firearm.

This course is not designed to make you the best target shooter on the range, but its goal is to help you quickly develop awareness and fundamental skills you can apply to a defensive shooting situation.

Students Will Need:
  • Basic Pistol Certificate (within last 3 years) or Active CCW License
  • Conceal Carry Handgun
  • 200+ Rounds
  • Snap Caps (used for malfunctions)
  • 2+ Magazines
  • Eye and Ear Protection
  • Conceal Carry Holster

Students Must Have a Current Conceal Carry License to take Class

The Defensive Shooting Fundamentals course will provide the student basic intuitive defensive shooting, speed and accuracy, integration of lateral motion and malfunction clearing.

The course is designed to take 4-6 hours, depending on range time.

Students will bring 200 rounds of ammunition and should bring their defensive firearm, and two magazines and snap caps for simulation of malfunction.

Proof of shooting experience can be on of the following; NRA Basic Pistol Course Certificate, CCW Certificate, Military DD 214 with pistol qualification, or Passing a Pre-Course Assessment.

Note About This Class

This is NOT a class for beginners!  Proper gun handling skills and evidence of prior training is a prerequisite for the course.  

After you register, we ask that you provide a copy of your Concealed Handgun License or proof of your Conceal Carry Certificate dated within three years of registration.  If you do not meet the requirements, you will be notified and issued a refund prior to the event.
